A pulley puller is a tool for removing flanges, bearings and couplings from an axle. A pulley puller may consist of two or three "grippers". The operation of the pulley puller is by hooking the grippers behind a bearing, for example, and then turning the bolt against the shaft on which the bearing sits. Then use a spanner or ring spanner to tighten the hexagon head of the bolt until the bearing comes loose.
